Over that structure sits floral lace, laid across sheer mesh panels so the pattern floats rather than lies flat. Where a fabric is sheer we say so in the description — several of these are deliberately sheer chiffon, lace or mesh and are meant to be layered over a slip or a plain vest.

The care label inside the garment is the authority for that fabric. As a rule: satin, chiffon and viscose prefer a cool, gentle wash or dry cleaning; cotton and linen are happy at 30°C. Hang to dry rather than tumble — it keeps the drape and the length.
