Description

Cut-outs work when they are placed against structure rather than softness. Here they sit in a sleek, contoured bodice, so the shape is held firm around them and the openings read as deliberate lines instead of gaps in the fabric.

Below that the skirt is skater-cut, flaring gently away from the body so it swings when you walk and settles into a clean line when you stop. The fabric blend has enough body to hold the flare and enough softness to drape properly through it. Black keeps the cut-outs graphic; white lets them read as shadow.

Where does it sit on the leg?

Each description gives the cut and the length — midi lengths land around mid-calf, maxi at the ankle. Where the style has a split, a pleat or an elasticated waist, that is stated too, because it changes how it moves when you walk.
