Description

Princess seams do the shaping that a belt would otherwise have to do. They run vertically through the body, drawing the jacket in at the waist and releasing it below, which is how this longline shape gets its flare without anything tied around the middle.

An oversized shawl collar frames the open front and falls to mid-thigh on either side. The sleeves are structured, the woven fabric holds a drape, and there is no closure to fasten because it is cut to hang open. In black, beige, red or brown.

How warm is it, and will it fit over a jumper?

The description says what the shell is and whether it is lined, quilted or fleece-backed, which is what determines warmth. Where a piece is cut oversized or with dropped shoulders to layer over a knit, that is stated.

The care label inside the garment is the authority for that fabric. As a rule: satin, chiffon and viscose prefer a cool, gentle wash or dry cleaning; cotton and linen are happy at 30°C. Hang to dry rather than tumble — it keeps the drape and the length.
