Description
Padded shoulders on a fitted mini give the dress an outline it would not otherwise have: a straight line across the top with the body contoured underneath it. The armholes are cut wide, which keeps the shape modern and stops the sequins sitting tight against the arm, and the neckline is a plain round left clean so the surface can do the shining.
Sequin applique over a smooth base fabric, with a little flex through the body. Silver goes cool and mirror-like; black holds the sparkle back until light hits it directly.
