Description

Utility jackets usually hang straight off the shoulder and stay there. This one has a drawstring through the waist, so the volume can be pulled in and the oversized sleeves suddenly read as deliberate rather than borrowed. Loosen it again and it goes back to a straight, easy line.

The collar stands high and the front closes with a zip under a snap-button placket — two closures, so the top can be left open with the rest fastened. Flap pockets at the front, lightweight woven, hip length. It works as the outer layer in spring and a middle layer in winter.

How warm is it, and will it fit over a jumper?

The description says what the shell is and whether it is lined, quilted or fleece-backed, which is what determines warmth. Where a piece is cut oversized or with dropped shoulders to layer over a knit, that is stated.

How do I care for it?

The care label inside the garment is the authority for that fabric. As a rule: satin, chiffon and viscose prefer a cool, gentle wash or dry cleaning; cotton and linen are happy at 30°C. Hang to dry rather than tumble — it keeps the drape and the length.
